Michael is Interim Director for the Leon County Research and Development Authority. He is also the managing partner of K3 investments, a private investment fund that has holdings in commercial real estate, investment banking, express car washes, manufacturing, and a home nursing company. He has served as a director/advisor for several regional companies including Infinity Software, Titus Sports Academy, Ghost Controls, Red Hills Radio, and Hopewell Home Health Care. Michael was the Chairman of Red Elephant Pizza from its startup until it was sold in 2012. In addition, Michael has served as Assistant Executive Director for Leon County Educational Facilities Authority since 2019 in addition to three terms on the Leon County Investment Oversight Committee Board and the Community Foundation of North Florida Board. Michael has also given several talks to companies and private groups on business valuation and transaction planning, professional responsibility, and incentive systems.
Michael has an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
Ayne joined LCRDA as the Director of Finance and Administration to support the operation of the Innovation Park in Tallahassee. She received a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Addis Ababa university. Before LCDRA, she worked at Florida State University for over twenty years as an administrator providing expertise in the areas of fiscal and personnel management as well as marketing. She also holds an Adjunct Teaching Faculty position through the FSU Moran College of Entrepreneurship. Prior to joining FSU, she served as a chief accountant at Blue Nile Construction S. Co. a public private partnership in Ethiopia. In addition to being an entrepreneur, she devotes her spare time volunteering with several community organizations, including AEPAC, Guardian Ad Litem and Junior Achievement Big Bend. She also serves as the faculty advisor for university student groups and young adults guiding them be productive members of society
Peggy Bielby is the Administrative Coordinator for LCRDA, where she handles the program support and administrative duties for the office and the Board of Governors. Peggy ensures all meetings meet the standards required by the State of Florida including public notices, quorums, and Sunshine Law compliance. She also manages the Park’s food trucks.
Prior to joining LCRDA in 2016, Peggy served as the Director of Partnership Development and Relations and the Assistant to the Executive Vice President at the Economic Development Council of Tallahassee/Leon County, and worked as a Law Clerk for the Florida First District Court of Appeal for 7 years.
Peggy, a native Floridian, received her Juris Doctorate from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law and received her Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama.
She is an Ambassador and Sustaining Member committee member for Word of South, a 2010-2011 KCCI Community Catalyst, and has served on several nonprofit Boards including Friends of the Library, Leon High School Foundation, St. John’s Episcopal Church vestry, and the Junior League of Tallahassee.
